Community Involvement
Nurses Appreciation
Week. May 10-14

What great fun we
had in showing our appreciation for the hard
work of all Trillium Health Centre nurses. Their
work is important, significant and vital and
we thank them all.
Our events for the week included a Nurses Appreciation
Afternoon on Wednesday May 12, 2010 where we
served light refreshments and gave away great
prizes. Thank you to all the nurses and staff
who came out.
On Thursday May 13th, Virtual One was honoured
to be invited to the Trillium Health Centre
Nurses Recognition banquet held at the Oasis
Convention Centre. The evening included a wonderful
tribute to all the accomplished nurses and recognized
their hard work and commitment. Our President
and CEO, David Bird, was on hand to personally
give away the our door prize of a $500 Taboo
Golf Resort gift certificate. What happened
when two winners ran up with the same winning
ticket? Without hesitation, Mr. Bird donated
an additional $500 Taboo Golf Resort G/C to
the lucky winner.
On May 14th, Virtual One participated in the
Nurses Vendor Fair. This was the most rewarding
event as were able to meet all nurses and thank
them personally for their devotion and contribution
to our community. Angus George (Member Service
Representative) and Anthony Angellotti (Investment
Advisor) were on hand to give away goodies and
prizes.

was held in Memorial Park in Mississauga, Ontario.
Blue skies and bright sunshine was the backdrop
as over 1000 participants, volunteers and sponsors
showed their passion to support women’s
cancer research.
Great entertainment and food were part of the
festivities and a great time was had by all.
Bike4Betty supports Trillium’s Betty Wallace
